The Ramblin' Wreck The Ramblin' Wreck is a 1930 Ford Model A Sport coupe that serves as the official mascot of the student body at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The Wreck is present at all major sporting events and student body functions, but its most noticeable role is leading the football team onto the field before each game. The Wreck has been around since 1914, when it was first used by Dean Floyd Field to drive around campus. Over the years, it has been owned by students, faculty, and alumni, and has undergone a number of modifications and restorations.
