Pierre DE SAINT-EXUPÉRY Pierre de Saint-Exupéry was a French writer, poet, and pioneering aviator. He is best known for his novella The Little Prince, which has been translated into more than 300 languages and remains one of the best-selling books ever published. In 1935, Saint-Exupéry made his first attempt to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. He was forced to land in the desert, and he and his co-pilot were rescued by Bedouins.
